Dr. Rachel Weil

Dr. Rachel Weil believes in building strong, supportive relationships with her patients as the foundation of meaningful healing. Her approach is compassionate and collaborative-centered on listening with care, understanding the unique experiences of each person, and tailoring treatment to support their personal goals and well-being.

Dr. Weil treats a broad range of psychiatric conditions including mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and psychotic illnesses. She has a particular interest in women’s mental health, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and helping individuals navigate life transitions. She provides both medication management and psychotherapy and works with patients to create individualized treatment plans that may include lifestyle changes and therapeutic interventions in addition to medication when appropriate.

Dr. Weil earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. She has trained in Psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she served as both Hospital Chief Resident and Outpatient Chief Resident. She received her undergraduate degree from Ursinus College, where she majored in Biology and Spanish.

Throughout her training, Dr. Weil has been recognized for her commitment to compassionate care and education. She is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and was twice named to the Jefferson Medical Student Teaching Honor Roll.

Dr. Weil offers a thoughtful and inclusive space for patients to explore challenges and move toward growth, with the belief that mental health care is most effective when it honors the whole person-mind, body, and story.
